Kocabag Cappadocian Wines is a family owned wine producer and viticulture company located in Uchisar district, Nevsehir. The firm has a storage in Gulsehir, Nevsehir, with an annual capacity of 300 thousands of liters..

        Mehmet Erdogan, the father of Hasan-Menduh Erdogan, established Kocabağ in 1972. His main purpose was to benefit the surplus of grapes available producing table wine consumption. He carved a rock in his garden to build a cellar with a storage capacity of 150 thousands of liters.

      The company put its first bottle of wine on the market in 1986. In todays wine sector, Kocabag is within the first top 5 wineries in Turkey, whose products are the most desired.

        The rock-built cellars providing the constant temperature of 8-10C affects positively the wine quality. The Cappadocian region is one of the most productive places for viticulture. In the region many indiginious of grape varieties are grown.

      Of all the grapes, Kalecikkarası, Öküzgözü, Boğazkere, Narince, Emir are the most common grape varieties from this region. Kocabağ started viniculture in 1990 and now has vineyards of 35 hectares of the grapes above mentioned.

        Kocabag has been awarded with 6 gold and 17 silver medals in International wine contests. The company’s main objective is to provide different tastes of wines in best quality.
